Discovering you have mice in your house is like a hard slap in the face, especially if you discover they have already been into your food. Mice carry horrible diseases like salmonella and hantavirus . The possibility that you have been sharing space and your food with them, is a serious cause for concern and immediate action.

First, immediately go through all of your food, piece by piece. A thorough inspection is imperative. Anything that shows any signs of contamination should be loaded into a trash bag and taken outside. Next, all mice droppings need to be vacuumed up, and traps need to be set in all areas where activity has been noted. The fewer the food options the mice have, the easier it will be to catch them with traps. Cleanliness at this point is an absolute must! As you catch mice, you need to remove the dead rodents (WEAR RUBBER GLOVES) and reset the traps until no new mice activity is noted and no mice have been caught for at least two weeks. While the trapping process continues, it is now time to try and figure out where they are coming in. The most common entry points are anywhere that wires, cables, or plumbing pipes enter the house. Broken windows, cracks in the foundation, gaps in siding, and missing weather stripping are also often to blame. If you are unable to locate the entry points, or if you are concerned you are missing something, call a professional. Kevin, the owner of Spokane Pest Pro can do a thorough exterior inspection, and help you get traps set in the perfect locations. We will then advise you on the needed repairs, and further professional remedies to make sure this never happens again.

Our average residential mice control customer spends about $225 PER YEAR - far less when combined with general pest control for spiders & insects. That is a drop in the bucket when compared to throwing away an entire pantry of food or worse dealing with serious health problems caused by mice contamination.

If you need some help, call today and we will get the problem fixed quickly! Also, new customers that sign up for our general pest control (spiders/insects) can often get mice control added into their service at very little additional cost. Ask for details!
